Oak Cliff has a new spot for super heroes and gamers.

Red Pegasus Games and Comics opened on Zang at Seventh this week, offering comic books, toys, T-shirts, playing cards and artwork.

The shop, owned by married couple Kenneth Denson and Gabriel Mendez-Denson, has a two-month lease on the space previously occupied by IndieGenius. They plan to operate there at least until the end of the year and then if things go well, relocate to a permanent space.

Along with gaming tournaments and other events, the shop will offer Saturday morning cartoons with cereal and milk starting Nov. 15. The shop’s grand opening is Saturday, Nov. 8, when 10 percent of proceeds will go to Airborne Angel Cadets of Texas.

The shop is open Tuesday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-midnight and Sunday noon-6 p.m.
