The sign went up recently at Kessler Park Eating House, the new restaurant from the owners of Jonathon’s, on Beckley near Greenbriar. The restaurant could open as soon as Feb. 1, according to a facebook post. The restaurant, in the old Mama Connie’s café (and Pitt Grill prior to that) at 1619 N. Beckley, will focus on American food, but will be different from nearby Jonathon’s.

Chino Chinatown at Trinity Groves celebrates its first anniversary Thursday, Jan. 15 with a $95 four-course dinner. Reservations are available from 6:30-10 p.m. by calling 469.513.7457.

Tuesday, Jan. 13, is pint night at Luck at Trinity Groves, with Rahr & Sons Brewery Co.’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer from 6-10 p.m.

Chef Blythe Beck is the first to stay at Kitchen LTO longer than three months. She petitioned for a longer stay, and her wish was granted. Beck is staying until May.
