Restaurant news: Best Tex-Mex, new sushi, chocolate and paletas

coco paletaWhat is the best Tex-Mex place in Oak Cliff? El Ranchito is the only Oak Cliff place that made the “10 essential Dallas Tex-Mex restaurants” from Eater Dallas. The Herrera’s location on Sylvan, which opened a couple months ago, also is on the list.

City of Ate reviewed Sushi Bayashi at Trinity Groves. They liked the ambiance but not the music. They liked some deep-fried items but not the sushi.

Chocolate-dipped paletas are back at CocoAndre. Flavors include strawberry-jalapeño and vanilla-caramel (pictured).
