Restaurateur Casie Caldwell announced plans this week to open a new restaurant in the former Driftwood space, on the same West Davis block as Bolsa.
Caldwell, who owns Kitchen LTO at Trinity Groves, is partnering with chef Blythe Beck, whose unprecedented eight-month run at the restaurant ends this month.
Their new restaurant is called Pink Magnolia, “comfort food with swanky Southern flair.”
Beck previously was executive chef at Hectors on Henderson and then Central 214, where she had a reality TV show. Caldwell is the entrepreneur behind Greenz salads, and she opened Kitchen LTO in 2013.
Driftwood, whose ownership changed hands a couple of times, opened originally in 2012 and closed last year.
Pink Magnolia is expected to open toward the end of summer.
