Rain cancels Trinity River Wind Festival

The weekend of storms dampened the city’s plans to host the Trinity River Wind Festival, which was scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With the amount of rain expected, it is anticipated the Dallas Floodway will be closed. The safety of its citizens is always the City of Dallas’ first priority,” said Estela Ornelas, spokeswoman for the Trinity Watershed Management.

Rain is expected to continue through Sunday, with flooding predicted throughout the city. Flood advisories are posted on Accuweather.com.
