A woman was shot and killed after a fight at Patio Bar, 534 Sunset, around 2:30 a.m. today.
A fight broke out in the bar, and the woman, who has not been identified, was shot in the parking lot, according to Fox 4 news.
The Dallas Police Department has made its public records unavailable to the public, but this is not the first instance of violence at the Patio Bar.
In a January 2014 gunfight at the bar, a 24-year-old woman was shot in the face and body, a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 29-year-old man was shot in the stomach and knee, the Dallas Morning News reported.
The bar also has a long history of charges of liquor law violations.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission canceled the nightclub’s liquor license this past summer, and afterward, police charged the club’s owners with selling alcohol with out a TABC permit.
Patio Bar, which held a TABC permit under the name La Costena Beverages Inc. beginning in 2002, has been charged with dozens of TABC violations over the years.
