DART proposes D-Link connection between streetcar, McKinney trolley

The Oak Cliff streetcar eventually will run all the way to the McKinney Avenue Trolley.

But until then, Dallas Area Rapid Transit is proposing to change the D-Link route to connect the streetcar to the trolley.

The free bus line would be renamed “Central Link” and run between the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and the trolley stop at San Jacinto and Olive.

The D-Link currently loops around Downtown, hitting Houston Street, Ross Avenue, the Farmers Market and the Dallas Art District.

DART will hold a community meeting at noon Monday, Oct. 23, at its headquarters. A public hearing on the proposed changes is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
