Oak Cliff Brewing Co. offers 99 years of beer for $1,000

Normally we shy away from promoting crowdfunding campaigns unless it’s a neighbor whose house burned down or something.

But we thought this one might appeal strongly to some of our readers.

Oak Cliff Brewing Co. is trying to raise $60,000 to finish out its brewery and taproom inside Tyler Station, a 96-year-old former factory.

For a $1,000 donation, Oak Cliff Brewing Co. promises a “handcrafted tankard, stamped with your name, to fill with free beer for 99 years.” The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission limits the offer to one free beer a day, to be consumed inside the taproom. There’s also a T-shirt, and you’d get your name on the “founders fire door.”

The brewery could open as soon as this coming spring, according to the campaign.
