Robbers armed with long guns shot a store clerk during a spree of two holdups in one night this week.

The men robbed an Exxon station on Westmoreland at Illinois around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. No one was injured.

Around 3:35 a.m., they moved to a 7-Eleven in the 2900 block of Ledbetter, where a clerk was shot. The clerk was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The robbers were described as Hispanic males around 18-20 years old and between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and 150-170 pounds. One was wearing a Dallas Cowboys knit hat with black pants and sweatshirt with white sneakers. The other was wearing a camouflage hooded jacket. A third person drove the get-away car, which is believed to be a silver Ford Focus or Fusion.
