The location is under wraps, but the owners of Lucia are planning a second restaurant in Oak Cliff.
Winnetka Heights residents Jennifer and David Uygur plan to open the restaurant, Macellaio, somewhere in Oak Cliff this coming spring.
Jennifer Uygur told the Dallas Observer that the space is under construction, but she declined to say where it is.
“Macellaio” is the Italian word for “butcher,” and the restaurant will focus on cured meats. They’ll offer dine-in and takeout charcuterie boards, plus a full bar. She said the restaurant will be much larger than the tiny, five-star Lucia, which is in the Bishop Arts District.
