Add “futsal champs 2018” to the list of accomplishments for L.V. Stockard Middle School.
The Oak Cliff school’s team won the Dallas ISD futsal tournament this past weekend, and now they’re headed to nationals in Orlando, Fla.
Futsal is a fast-paced version of soccer that is played on a gym floor with five to a side. Check out KTVT’s story on the team.
Now the team needs to raise $7,000 for 12 players and two coaches to make the trip in July.
We put a call into the school to ask if neighbors can donate and haven’t heard back yet, but we will keep you updated.
