The chamber’s Oak Cliff Business Exchange Conference, at Mountain View College on Aug. 16, offers a day full of workshops for small business owners.

Topics include navigating the new small-business tax, how politics and policies could affect your business and how to plan for the future.

Speakers include Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, philanthropist Jorge Baldor and Cindy Brown, a former corporate executive who now owns a company that helps small businesses grow.

The conference starts at 7:30 a.m., and tickets cost $25.
