A suspected drunken driver ran a red light at West Davis and Westmoreland Wednesday night and caused a crash that killed another driver.
The victim, Andrea Osmara Rodriguez-Perez, was driving east on Davis. Police say 24-year-old Julio Menendez-Guerrero was driving south on Westmoreland and ran a red light.
Rodriguez’s vehicle hit a third car, and she became pinned between them. She was taken to the hospital, where she died.
Menendez fled the scene on foot, but police arrested him at a nearby house soon after the crash.
He was charged with intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.
