Blind artist paints another mural in Bishop Arts

John Bramblitt’s first mural in the Bishop Arts District went up last year.

A Denton-based artist is receiving attention for his murals in the Bishop Arts District.

John Bramblitt, whose first Bishop Arts mural is on Melba at Adams, is working on a second four-story high mural that depicts a woman playing the guitar.

Bramblitt lost his eyesight 20 years ago. He uses tactile paint and fabric and direction from his wife to create his paintings.

WFAA was first to report on this second mural earlier this month.

KDFW aired a story about it last week, and it’s been picked up by other TV stations and newspapers around the country.
