A candid conversation about the criminal justice system is coming to the Bishop Arts Theatre Center. You won’t want to miss “Incarceration, Execution, & The Human Face of Criminal Justice” on Aug. 3 at 3p.m.

6.1 million people are in the correctional system, and 2.1 of them are incarcerated. What’s going on here? It’s time to sit down with faces of the system to discuss this controversial climate.

Best-selling author of “Mourner’s Bench,” Sanderia Faye, will explore this question. Honest stories from perpetrators and victims will take the audience from their seats to the reality of being behind bars.

Joining Faye are Jim Buffington of Bridges to Life,  Jay Gumm of Forgiven Felons and Richard Miles of Miles of Freedom.

The conversation will include readings from Faye’s new book. “Eleven,” which tells the story of a family struggling with the announcement of eight executions set to occur in the eleven days following Easter.Purchase your ticket and learn more here.
