A man who was fired from Paradiso restaurant in the Bishop Arts District was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief after he allegedly threatened employees and diners with a sword.
Vincent Briceno, 28, confronted his former boss at about 4:40 p.m. Monday. He then damaged property and picked up a sword, which the restaurant uses to open champagne bottles, and swung it around.
He eventually put down the sword and was arrested.
Briceno is in jail with bail set at $10,500.
