Lake, who also owns Jefferson Tower and a chunk of the Bishop Arts District, bought the Oak Cliff Bank Tower, the Dallas Morning News reports. The transaction also included other properties totaling about 5 acres on Twelfth, Zang and Beckley.

The 15-story building opened in 1964 and was home for many years to Top O’ The Cliff Club.

The tower currently is about 70% leased, and Lake plans to renovate it and “bring it into the 21st century.”

Lake’s son, J. Scott Lake of Davidson & Bogel Real Estate, brokered the deal, which comes 35 years after Jim Lake Jr. brokered the deal for his dad to buy several historic blocks of what is now the Bishop Arts District.
