Way back in January 2020, we asked “What in the world is Furndware?” after Jefferson Boulevard building owner Patrick Craine restored a ghost sign used for two previous businesses, a furniture store and a hardware store.
Now there’s a new answer.
Furndware is a membership-based recording studio. It’s kind of like a co-working space for musicians who want to record.
“Our goal to become a widely used and viewed broadcasting point for the deeply talented music scene in Dallas and beyond,” its website states.

Craine relocated from New York City to Oak Cliff and bought this building a few years ago. He and his wife, Cindy, have three kids, including a BMX champion.
