Greiner Middle School principal Yvonne Rojas knows what it’s like to be a student at her school because she was one.
Rojas grew up in Oak Cliff and went to Winnetka Elementary and Greiner before attending Skyline High School. After college, she taught theater arts at Stockard Middle School.
Now she is nominated for Dallas ISD principal of the year.
Rojas previously served as an associate principal at Greiner and then as principal of Lida Hooe Elementary before returning to her middle-school alma mater.
As an educator, I have been given the opportunity to touch lives, challenge young minds, and create a greater future for others. My vision as a leader is to have high expectations of everyone and to do whatever it takes to ensure students achieve.
