Heritage Oak Cliff has canceled its annual fall home tour in favor of this outdoor event, which allows participants to stamp their passports at various locations around Oak Cliff throughout the weekend.

Here are a few highlights:

  • A family carnival at the North Cliff Neighborhood Center with music, games, prizes and treats. There will also be costumes, face-painting and a photo booth stocked with disguises.
  • Stevens Park alley garden: What started as a pollinator garden behind one home has grown to a 300-foot-long garden trail with three certified habitats – wildlife, monarch butterflies and birds. Also, get home gardening tips from a certified master gardener.
  • El Tivoli Place will be recreating its past lives across several porches and properties, featuring residents wearing period dress. To remember this was once a golf course, they’ll have a putt-putt and cold Arnold Palmers. To remember a 1920s nightclub, they’ll have a nightclub porch and serve wine to those old enough.
  • In Brettonwoods / Gladiolus Aviary Ranch, experience a certified wildlife habitat and get a free water-wise native plant gift while supplies last. Many of the plants on the property are marked and the master gardener owner and other guides can share additional information.
  • A private movie screening at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center and a block party with local vendors, food and music at Oak Cliff Brewing Co.’s beer garden.

The event includes several other stops and two concerts. It all culminates in a party at Turner House from 4-6 p.m. Sunday with a raffle. Here are the prizes up for grabs:

  • Turner House event rental ($2,600 value)
  • JURA Swiss coffee maker ($1,500 value)
