Devin Ratray who portrayed Kevin  (Macaulay Culkin) and Fuller (Kieran Culkin) McCallister’s bullyish big brother Buzz in the Home Alone movies will take part in a Q&A this Sunday (Dec. 12) at 6 p.m. prior to a screening of the original.

And while the Culkin brothers are more famous, fans of the franchise should be hyped to hear from Buzz. The antagonist delivers a few hidden gems in those holiday classics. And he is just one degree of separation from Succession.

Even though he’s no household name, Ratray has parts in a couple of quality independent films including Oscar-nominated Nebraska and the exceptional nail biter Blue Ruin. He’s stayed busy with small TV roles on shows such as Law & Order and The Good Wife. And he starred in this movie about a man courting the affections of erstwhile Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, which I have not seen and do not understand, but also which sounds like it could be hilarious.

He’s also gotten mileage out of his child acting days — from appearances such as the one this Sunday to hosting a night at the Home Alone house via Airbnb and making funny videos with Macaulay.

Tickets are available on the theater’s website. There also is a list of other holiday movie events throughout the month.

But more importantly, in anticipation of Licorice Pizza’s premiere, Texas Theatre is running a series of Paul Thomas Anderson films, beginning tonight with Magnolia.

And if you missed the chance to see the fantastic, epic Arthurian The Green Knight, directed by Dallas’ own David Lowrey and scored by Lake Highlands native Daniel Hart, it is returning to Texas Theatre Dec. 10.

So many things.
