Heart screenings, blood tests, orthopedic exams and neurological assessments were on the menu for about 50 former players and more than a dozen of their spouses on Saturday.

Ed “Too Tall” Jones, who played his entire career of 15 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, was among the attendees, as well as Sepfan Taylor, a Stanford University star who is from Arlington and played three seasons for the Arizona Cardinals.

They are among several hundred former NFL players who live in the Dallas area, according to the NFL Players Association.

From a media release:

The Living Heart Foundation, founded by former NFL quarterback and heart surgeon Dr. Archie Roberts, hosts five large screenings like this a year. This is the first time the screenings have been offered in North Texas since 2017.”
