The Dallas Police Department reports that Dallas Fire-Rescue on Saturday found a dead body inside a burning car near the 4600 block of Burma Road, near the Mt. Elam Missionary Baptist Church.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded at about 8 p.m. to a small SUV on fire in a wooded area near the church and community garden. As responders extinguished the flames they discovered the body.
Police arrived shortly thereafter.
Authorities have not released any more information about the body, and they documented the death as unexplained.
According to the police news release, the Dallas County medical examiner’s office is working to determine the official cause of death.
