Details for a neighborhood meeting to discuss the potential development of a skate park in our neighborhood were announced by Dallas City Council member Chad West today in his bi-weekly newsletter.

Nov. 29 there will be an in person meeting at 6 p.m. which will include Spanish translations. It will be held at the Martin Weiss Recreation Center.

There will also be a virtual meeting on Dec. 13, also at 6 p.m. The meetings will be hosted by Park Board member JR Huerta.

In his newsletter, West said a location for the park has yet to be decided, but the park will require one to two acres to build.

West also said that the city has indicated there could be funds available for the project if they are met with private matching funds.

One QR code on the meeting flyer says there is a survey about the project, but only leads to a virtual meeting website. The Advocate will update the neighborhood if a survey about the project becomes available.
