Around 7:00 a.m. Thursday, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 5700 block of Duncanville Road, officials say.
After police arrived at the scene they found one man who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim died from the injury at a local hospital.
Police say an investigation found that 20-year-old Pedro Ramirez was responsible for the shooting. Ramirez was charged with murder and is being held in the Dallas County Jail.
A bond amount has not been set, and it is unclear is Ramirez has a lawyer.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
