Police responded to a shooting call near Stevens Park Village around 1:15 a.m. Monday.
When officials arrived to the scene, two men who had been shot were found outside of a residential home in the 1300 block of Hartsdale Drive. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital where one died from his injuries, according to police.
Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Louis Martinez. The second man, who has not been identified but is 48-years-old, was last listed in stable condition, police said.
Investigation identified 21-year-old Juan Martinez as a suspect in the case. Martinez is being held in the Dallas County Jail on charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
A bond amount has not been set.
