United to Learn, a nonprofit that focuses on Dallas education, asked Dallas ISD principals to ‘dream big’ about changes they want to see on their campuses. This Saturday on Community Campus Day 2024, eight schools will have their dreams become a reality.
2024 marks United To Learn’s seventh annual Community Campus Day campaign, with 68 total projects coordinated for local schools, 51 of which have been fully completed.
Oak Cliff-based Celestino Mauricio Soto Jr. Elementary School is among the schools chosen this year. The program will create a garden and outdoor learning space for the school. This project is sponsored by the Association for Learning Environments.
High school students and adult volunteers are encouraged to attend on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If interested, visit United To Learn’s page for Community Campus Day 2024.
