Located at 3011 Gulden Lane at Trinity Groves, La Rue Doughnuts will hold its grand opening Thursday, Aug. 29 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Inspired by doughnut traditions from around the world and grounded in the rich heritage of Dallas, La Rue Doughnuts offers curated menu that celebrates the art of doughnut-making. Every doughnut is handcrafted in-house daily, using the finest ingredients to ensure freshness and flavor.
Whether you’re craving a classic glazed brioche or a cardamom and cinnamon cruller, La Rue Doughnuts has something for every palate. There will also be two savory items each day – customers can enjoy a beef sausage kolache with zaatar and a chicken brioche pocket.
“Our goal is to redefine what a doughnut shop can be,” said Casey and Amy La Rue, founders of La Rue Doughnuts and former owners of Carte Blanche in Lower Greenville. “We’re offering more than just doughnuts; we’re offering an experience – one that blends traditional techniques with modern flavors and exceptional service. We want La Rue Doughnuts to be a place where every visit feels special.”
The inspiration behind La Rue Doughnuts is deeply rooted in the history of the doughnut itself. The establishment year, 1847, pays homage to the invention of the modern doughnut, blending this historical significance with the shop’s modern approach to flavor and design.
