With each guest purchase of a Holiday Family Dinner for 6-8 people, Norma’s will donate six meals to the North Texas Food Bank from now until Dec. 23.

The Holiday Family Meal goes on pre-sale Sept. 25, with full dinners for 6-8 people starting at a family- affordable price of $115.00. The holiday dinner includes a choice of the following: (1) whole smoked turkey, (1 pan) of smoked sliced or oven-roasted turkey breast, (1) spiral cut glazed ham, (1) prime oven roast with au jus and horseradish, with (2) quarts of cornbread dressing, (2) quarts of mashed potatoes, (2) quarts of green beans, and (1) quart of giblet gravy. Also included are the cranberry sauce, a dozen rolls, and Norma’s classic 10-inch pumpkin pie. Specialty items are also available for additional purchase including green bean casserole, bacon mac-n-cheese, broccoli rice casserole and much more.

Kurt Metzger, VP of Operations for Norma’s Cafe, said Norma’s goal is to provide 1,500 meals or more to those in need over the holiday season through the NTFB partnership.

“This has been a challenging year for many, and a lot of people don’t know where their next hearty meal is coming from,” Metzger said. “It really means a lot to us to be able to give back to the North Texas community. No family should have to go without a hot meal, especially during the holidays.”

In addition to the Gather & Give program, Norma’s Cafe will open its doors on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to feed those in need at its founding Oak Cliff location, 1123 W. Davis St.

This event has been a long-standing tradition for Norma’s, Oak Cliff, and the Dallas community. The menu will include roasted turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, and of course a slice of pumpkin pie.

“Dallas is our home,” Metzger said. “We are here for everyone. We’re happy to open on Thanksgiving Day and serve those in need, it is a life changing experience. We’re so proud of this tradition and so grateful to be able to help those in our community who really need it. It’s truly our pleasure.”
