Kerwin Medical Center is hosting a grand opening of its new Oak Cliff location on Thursday, November 7 at the new site on Lancaster Road.
Founded by Diana R. Kerwin, MD, CPI, Kerwin Medical Center has been dedicated to excellence in clinical trials and supporting patients and families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias since the center was established in 2018.
This new site ensures that the Oak Cliff community, which has often been underrepresented in research, has access to the expertise of Kerwin Medical Center providers, resources, and access to treatment through clinical trials.
In Texas, it is currently estimated that 11.9% of the population is living with dementia. The only way to find treatments and cures for this disease is through clinical trials.
“My vision for memory care is to partner with community neighbors and utilize my expertise in memory disorders to deliver quality care to patients, excellence in research, and support the North Texas community –especially patients and families impacted by dementia,” Kerwin said. “That is what makes the opening of Kerwin Medical Center – Oak Cliff so exciting! We are bringing our expertise, resources, and access to treatment through clinical trials directly into a community often under-represented in clinical trials or have barriers to access research opportunities.”
The grand opening will take place on Thursday, November 7 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the new site located at 4315 S. Lancaster Road, Suite 170 in Dallas.
