Cliff Manor is currently in the process of relocating all residents into other housing units in preparation to demolish the building.
In 2010, the Dallas Housing Authority opened 100 apartments at Cliff Manor to house the longtime homeless. Built in 1970 and located in North Oak Cliff, the DHA Residential Community is set to be demolished.
A representative from Chad West’s office confirmed that residents are being relocated, and five families remain. They are expected to be relocated in the next 30 days.
Once the building becomes vacant, they will have security on site to prevent any squatting. They are awaiting federal HUD approval and city environmental review for demolition, which they expect to receive in Spring 2025. They will then find a contractor to safely demolish the building, which they expect to be completed by Fall 2025. There are no plans for the property after demolition.
