With a mission to help young people find success, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center will host an open model and talent call on Saturday, Jan. 25, for models, actors, singers and dancers ages 16 and up.
The event is free and open to the public and pre-registration is required at eventbrite.com. Check-in opens at 9:30 a.m. with live auditions from 10 a.m. to noon.
The program began in 2018 and has helped launch numerous North Texans’ modeling and entertainment careers. Model/actress Keva Raiford recently appeared in the hit TV series Landman. Another Kim Dawson model earned thousands of dollars per shoot while another had the opportunity to collaborate with superstar Gwen Stefani.
“The Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center is a vibrant, multicultural center dedicated to not only inspiring and equipping students for success both on and off the court but helping people of all ages,” said Trina Terrell-Andrews, CEO of the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center. “Our focus is fostering a healthy, supportive environment where individuals can shine and are motivated to invest in their growth and development.”
The call is hosted by Dallas-based Willie Johnson of J3 Productions, a fashion show production and modeling management company.
Female models should be 5’7”-6’, and male models should be 5’11”-6’3”. Singers and dancers are asked to bring their music on a flash drive. Singers will be asked to perform for 30 seconds, and dancers will be asked to showcase a 45-second routine. Actors may be asked to do a cold read.
