Two Oak Cliff teams battled it out in the boys basketball playoffs Friday.
Kimball emerged victorious as the team defeated Carter 68-35. Kimball entered the 2025 postseason as the state’s top-ranked Class 4A team.
Kimball previously beat Carter (28-8) twice in the regular season, first 63-51 and later 73-68, to finish 14-0 in District 11-4A and claim the district title.
Senior Jaylon Dean-Vines finished with a team-high 23 points while sophomore Marri Wesley added 16
Kimball will move on the face Estacado Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at WF Legacy HS. The winner will advance to San Antonio for the Class 4A Division I championship next week.
