I Spy Butterflies is an enchanting new experience landing at the Dallas Zoo this spring.
Open April 5 through October 26, this limited-time exhibit immerses guests in a beautifully landscaped garden, filled with native pollinator-friendly plants and hundreds of fluttering butterflies, offering a magical way to connect with nature like never before.
Nestled in the Zoo’s newly reimagined space, Wildflower Ridge (previously Picnic Ridge), this new experience is included free with Dallas Zoo admission and will be open daily during regular Zoo hours. The exhibit also will be open extended hours until sunset during the Zoo’s upcoming Safari Nights concert series, on Saturdays starting in May.
While admiring a mix of native and tropical butterflies up close at I Spy Butterflies, guests can learn about the critical role these pollinators play in our ecosystem. Outside the butterfly garden, parents can sit for a while as their little ones explore a newly constructed nature-inspired play space, designed to inspire exploration and creativity. Or they can choose to take a ride on the upgraded mini-train, now called the Monarch Express.
