Usefull, an Oak Cliff shop and refillery, celebrated its first anniversary with an event Saturday after one year of sustainability.

Founded last year by Adriana Kao, Usefull is the Dallas area’s first refillery and zero-waste shop. The company aims to reduce plastic waste with its eco-friendly packaging, reusable items and refillable products.
Saturday’s celebration provided raffles, snacks and the opportunity for customers to cut their own soaps — on top of 21% off product refills since the week prior. During the afternoon portion, Usefull hosted live music and a BYOC (bring-your-own-container) candle pour pop-up.
Usefull has also hosted community events that encourage sustainable practices, including a composting information session and a clothing swap.
Usefull is located at 914 Sunset Ave. in Oak Cliff.
