Tonight at the Texas Theatre the first podcast created and produced in prison is coming to Oak Cliff.
Ear Hustle, a podcast that shares the daily lives of incarceration and stories of reentry into society, is making a stop on their 2025 tour for Dallas. The podcast was co-founded by Bay Area artist Nigel Poor, Earlonne Woods and Antwan Williams during their time incarcerated and now tells stories across the country about the ins and outs of prison.
The podcast was previously named a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in audio reporting in 2020 and has since received honors from the Third Coast International Audio Festival, the Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, and is a two-time Peabody Award nominee, according to their website.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for the event starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 with tickets still available.
The Texas Theatre is located at 231 W. Jefferson Blvd.
