With class back in session today for Dallas ISD schools, many families have prepared over the past weekend with the tax-free deals. However, if there were a few to-dos that didn’t quite make it off your list an upcoming event this weekend can make it happen.

This Saturday, August 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visit the Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center in Red Bird for the Journey to Wellness Community Fair.
The fair will feature free on-site wellness screenings along with free wellness activities including massages and hair cuts. With over 30 vendors, there will be school supply distribution, bounce houses, games and a DJ.
In addition to vendors and services, there will be over $3,000 worth of items in the raffle during the event. The grand prize is a pair of tickets to see Chris Brown.
Thurgood Marshall Recreation Center is located at 5150 Mark Trail Way.
