Tickets for the Dallas Zoo’s popular $1 admissions days are now on sale.
This year’s Dollar Days are planned for Thursday, July 18, and Tuesday, August 6. Each year, the zoo drops its admission price to only $1 for anyone ages 3 and older (admission is always free for ages 2 and under) and offers specials on snacks and beverages at pop-up shops in several places throughout the zoo.
Admission tickets for both days will be available on the zoo’s website starting June 20, and the zoo encourages guests to purchase tickets soon so their preferred day doesn’t sell out. Admission tickets for Dollar Days need to be purchased online, in advance.
In addition to the discounted admission price, Dollar Days will also feature snack discounts at pop-up shops in ZooNorth and Wilds of Africa, including $1 popcorn and cotton candy.
As the presenting sponsor of this year’s Dollar Days, Whataburger will be on site both days handing out items to help guests cool down, including Whataburger-themed cooling towels, fans, and more.
“Whataburger prides itself on extraordinary hospitality and meaningful connections in our communities, and we are thrilled to be able to support the Dallas Zoo’s Dollar Days. Inviting families to join us at the zoo is a way for us to invest in the communities we serve through our Whataburger Feeding Student Success program, where we focus on supporting students at all stages of their education to achieve their goals and dreams,” said Brand Leader, Mike Miller.
Parking at the zoo is limited, especially on busy days. To avoid traffic and parking issues, the zoo recommends guests consider taking the DART Red Line straight to the zoo’s entrance. Parking at the zoo remains $12, and fees will be collected at the ticket booths upon entry.
