In partnership with Dallas College, Restaurant Beatrice is going back to school this September.
The Women in Restaurants Leadership Program (WRLP) with Dallas College began in January 2024. The tuition-free program lasted eight weeks in the spring of 2024, and offered seminars, training and stagiaire opportunities to anyone looking to advance in the restaurant industry.
The program saw so much success that it will be returning this fall.
From the first post-class survey, the team learned that 82% of students received job/stage opportunities, 100% of the students would recommend the class to others, and 100% of the students felt the class improved their career prospects.
Anyone interested can enroll in the tuition-free program where they will learn leadership skills, stage with the best restaurants in the city, and execute a Capstone dinner to replenish costs for incoming students. The public is invited to this dinner on Monday, October 29 at 6pm at Dallas College’s Culinary School.
Students will stage at Beatrice, Zen Sushi, rye, Roots Southern Kitchen, the Duro Hospitality Group, and Crown Block.
Enrollment is open to everyone, men included. For more information, to enroll and apply for a tuition-waiver, please email Steve DeShazo, Senior Workforce Director for Dallas College’s Culinary School at sdeshazo@dallascollege.edu.
