Tomorrow, Oct. 5, For Oak Cliff is hosting a farmers market for a fun-filled family-friendly event.
The market is held at 907 E. Ledbetter Dr from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and attendees can shop local fresh produce and goods while exploring cutting-edge technology with hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities provided by Get Connected Dallas.
The For Oak Cliff farmers market aims to improve access to fresh produce and nutritious food for the South Oak Cliff community and provide economic opportunity for farmers.
The market includes 20 vendors, including Joppy Momma’s Farm, DOT’s Farm, Four Girls and a Guy Bakery, Dallas County Master Gardeners, Sweet Vegan, Mother Loafers, Daughters Across the Diaspora, Honey in the Rock, Brown Sugar Shea, Pentecostal Farms, QCandles and Spilled Chocolate Plants.
Community services include Dallas County Nutrition and Food Demonstrations, Parkland Health Screenings, Somos Tejas, The People’s Party of Texas, The First Foundation, and SISTAS Ministry.
Additionally, the event includes a robot petting zoo, a beatmaking workshop, and music by the official DJ of the Dallas Cowboys, DJ 13lackbeard.
