Tarrant County band Blu-Print’s truck and trailer were both stolen Saturday during the band’s Oak Cliff performance, according to an NBC 5 DFW article.
Blu-Print manager and bassist James Byerly parked his white 2001 Chevy Silverado and cargo trailer in the Fiesta parking lot across the street from El Ranchito, where the performance was held. When he returned to the lot afterward, he and Crystal Huff, a singer in the band, found both missing.
“Everything I have worked for in these 28 years is just gone,” Byerly told NBC 5 DFW.
Two suspects drove the vehicle away while the band was performing, nearby restaurant El Globo’s surveillance footage shows. One of them allegedly hotwired the vehicle, according to FOX 4 News. The theft occurred in broad daylight.
The band was forced to cancel at least one of its shows after losing the equipment stored in Byerly’s trailer.
The suspects have not been identified, nor has anyone reported the truck or trailer found since the incident. The Dallas Police Department continues to investigate the case.
