Oak Cliff’s beloved Bastille on Bishop returns for its 15th annual celebration this July 14, from 6 to 11 p.m., transforming Bishop Street (between 7th and Melba) into a vibrant, Parisian‑style festival.

Free to attend, the evening is packed with lively entertainment and a theatrical journey through French culture—just bring your appetite, your beret, and your joie de vivre!

“Celebrating 15 years of Bastille on Bishop is a testament to Oak Cliff’s vibrant spirit and French heritage,” said organizer Amy Cowan. “From live music and playful performers to the Vespa rally and delicious food, this event truly belongs to our community.”

The night will include:

  • Street performers: Mimes and circus acts roaming the boulevard
  • Live French music: Performed by La Pompe, Stefanie Pepping and the Sassafras Swing band, the Bishop Avenue Hot 6, and more
  • Mussels competition: Culinary showdown featuring riffs on the classic moules‑marinière with local chefs
  • Vespa rally: A parade of vintage and modern Vespas
  • French street food: Crepes, jambon beurre sandwiches, frites, and more!
  • Wine & dancing: DJ sets and impromptu dance in the street, glass in hand
