The Texas Women’s Foundation (TXWF)’s annual community grants cycle awarded Oak Cliff’s Methodist Health System Foundation a grant for its contributions to the workforce.
TXWF distributed over $820,000 in grants to 23 Dallas-Fort Worth area nonprofits. Grant recipients were honored at a reception on Sept. 26 which kicked off a year-long tribute for the 40th anniversary of TXWF.
“These incredible nonprofit organizations are transforming public education, providing critical healthcare access and helping fill the increasing gap in basic needs such as food and housing,” said TXWF President and CEO Karen Hughes White. “We are so thankful to our donors and philanthropic partners who make this support possible, allowing TXWF to remove barriers to women’s economic security, stability and success as we work to build a strong and vibrant Texas for all.”
Other nearby recipients of the grant in West Dallas included LBU Community Clinic and Brother Bill’s Helping Hand.
This year’s awards bring the total grantmaking to exceed $87.5 million since 1985.
