This weekend: JFK, boot camp, Jingle Bash, tweed

Monday is the 47th anniversary of the assassination that made us famous. “Virtual JFK”, a movie whose tag line is “Vietnam if Kennedy had lived”, runs Friday-Monday at the Texas Theatre, you know, where they got that Oswald guy. The theater also is playing “Strange Powers”, a documentary about the Magnetic Fields.

Lake Cliff Boot Camp is offering a free workout at noon Saturday in exchange for food donations to the North Texas Food Bank. Instructor Jacob Waters offers a circuit training “boot camp” workout Tuesdays and Thursdays for $10 a session or $60 per month. Suggested food donations for the class Saturday include tuna, yams, greens, peanut butter and beans.

The Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash is from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the Palladium Ballroom.

The second-annual Dallas Tweed Ride is at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Grassy Knoll. The ride ends at Turner House.
