Now the family restaurant, headed by Juan Diaz, has reopened in Jefferson Tower with much the same menu.
Prices start around $8 for salads topped with grilled chicken or brisket. Sandwiches including barbecue pork loin and burgers cost $8-$10. And barbecue plates with baby back ribs, brisket, chicken or salmon cost $10-$14.
We tried the hot wings, which can come spicy or mild. For $7, they were not bad. J.D.’s hadn’t got a liquor license yet, so it’s BYOB until one is obtained.
