Spiral Diner: Premiering the Festivus San’ich

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, this week vegan eatery Spiral Diner at Zang and Beckley will begin offering the blue plate Festivus San’ich —  homemade faux turkey, cranberry-pecan stuffing, cranberry cream cheese spread, lettuce and tomato on multi-grain bread. "Way better than leftovers!" its recent e-newsletter proclaims.

I just love that the sandwich’s name hearkens back to a classic Seinfeld episode. (Thanks, sifol, for compiling the highlights of that episode into one YouTube clip.)
