Mardi Gras Oak Cliff 2010 parade – plus masquerade ball

Parade organizer Amy Wallace Cowan and her "Krewe on Bishop", an all-volunteer committee of Oak Cliff residents and merchants, aren’t wasting any time getting ready for next February’s sequel to this year’s very successful parade. Today they announced the big addition to next year’s pageantry — a masquerade ball the Saturday night before the parade in the Bishop Arts District.

They also announced the 2010 parade details — it will take place on Sunday, Feb. 7 starting at 4 p.m., and will again start at Methodist Hospital and continue the 1.2 miles down Bishop Avenue, commencing in Bishop Arts. Throws and costumes will still be mandatory for all parade marchers and floats.
