Allen Gwinn of Dallas.org has an interesting story this week about City Council member Dave Neumann, who represents part of Oak Cliff. Neumann is suing a former employee, and accusing her of stealing $1.9 million from his fashion business, Ivy Jane.
Gwinn raises an eyebrow over the lawsuit because the employee, who has contributed to Neumann’s campaigns, is accused of stealing about 73 percent of the business’s annual income.
Gwinn asks, "One big question: how did Neumann … fail to notice something as significant as a $1.9 million dollar theft from a $2.6 million dollar business?"
