About 500 people yesterday attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Museum of Nature and Science at Victory Park — I admittedly had no idea until yesterday the scale of this project. Pritzker-prize winning architect Thom Mayne is leading design of the 180,000-square-foot, 170-foot-tall structure that will house five floors of public space for state-of-the-art exhibitions, education wings with learning labs, a multi media digital cinema that seats 300, and waaaaay more. Check out the video for scenes of Dallas City Council members playing around with gadgets made for fun while learning — trust me, seeing our city council blowing bubbles while wearing flashing LED glasses worth a watch.
