Cowboys great Herschel Walker is a 5th degree blackbelt, and he’s putting his martial arts skills to work for Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and its charity, Project Turnaround.

Walker is fighting in Strikeforce Miami, a mixed-martial arts tournament that will air on Showtime Jan. 30.

"He and our senior pastor, Dr. Tony Evans, are very good friends," says Shari L. Carroll, the church’s spokeswoman. "He is definitely a friend of the church, and I know Dr. Evans has had a major impact on his spiritual walk."

Here is a video interview with Walker, in which he talks about his relationship with the church, his appearance on the "Celebrity Apprentice" and the upcoming bout. In this "700 Club" video, Walker talks about his struggle with dissociative identity disorder, which also is called multiple personality disorder, and how Evans helped him overcome it.
